I moved into Salesforce because I wanted to use my skills in a way that felt meaningful and to work with organisations making a positive impact.

Having worked within nonprofits myself, I know that technology is only useful if it works for the people who rely on it. I love problem solving, understanding what people need and finding practical solutions that make their working lives easier.

Time Technology felt like a natural next step for me. It gives me the opportunity to use my experience from within the nonprofit sector to help a wider range of organisations, while continuing to learn and develop as part of a team that shares my focus on finding the right solution for the people using it.

Experience

I started my career in higher education, working in international recruitment and relations, before making a deliberate career change into Salesforce and the nonprofit sector.

Since then, I’ve worked in Salesforce-focused roles across several charities, both as a sole Salesforce Administrator and as part of wider teams. My experience spans requirements gathering, Salesforce configuration and automation, data and user support. A big part of my work has been collaborating with people across different teams, understanding what they’re trying to achieve and translating that into practical improvements to systems and processes.

Over time, my roles have grown beyond Salesforce to include broader responsibility for business systems and data, but the part I’ve always enjoyed most is problem solving and working with people. I particularly enjoy making technical concepts easier to understand and creating an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions, sharing what isn’t working and being involved in finding a better solution.

Favourite Trailhead

I love a good List View! They’re simple, but they can make such a difference to how people use Salesforce day to day. They help users quickly see what needs their attention, prioritise their work and find the information they need. For me, they’re a great example of how small changes can make Salesforce much more useful for the people using it.
