My first real-world Salesforce experience came through volunteering with Blaze Your Trail, supporting nonprofits. That hands-on work helped me land my first role as an in-house Salesforce Admin, and now I’m really excited to be back in the nonprofit space, where my Salesforce journey began.

Experience

Salesforce was part of a career change journey for me – I was previously an English as a Foreign Language teacher. I began self-learning on Trailhead and earned my Salesforce Administrator certification in January 2022.

Shortly after getting certified, I was able to start my new career path. The first few years, I was a Salesforce Administrator, which allowed me to develop and grow key Salesforce knowledge and skills, and this eventually led me into Consultancy when I joined Time Technology’s Service Desk Team in 2025. I am very much looking forward to continuing to expand my expertise, take on new challenges, and contribute to innovative solutions that drive value for clients and help them make the most of Salesforce.

Favourite Salesforce Feature

One of my favourite Salesforce features is Dynamic Page Layouts. It’s a fairly recent addition, and I’ve found it incredibly valuable in enhancing the user experience. As someone who always strives to make page layouts as user-friendly and efficient as possible, Dynamic Page Layouts allows me to do this in a more intuitive and flexible way. It enables me to create personalised, interactive layouts by showing or hiding fields based on the user’s context. This ensures that users only see the information that’s relevant to them at any given time, improving both clarity and efficiency. I love how this feature gives me greater control over how information is displayed and ensures a smoother, more streamlined experience for everyone.

Interests & Background

Originally from the south of England, I’ve lived in Scotland for a few years now and recently moved to Perth. In my spare time, my partner and I love exploring the Scottish countryside in our little campervan, especially when it involves a bit of hiking. I’m also into gaming and learning a few crafty hobbies like sewing and embroidery.
